Overview of Proof of Performance Testing
Proof of Performance Test Requirements a look at the basics

To test at the tap, or the converter. THAT is the question. Should it even be a question?
Be careful with automated CSO and CTB routines for proofs! If you use automated tests, you're almost certainly doing them wrong!
Is it C/N or S/N? A common question when running gated C/N tests.
How to run non-disruptive tests even if your test gear doesn't do gated measurements You really can get accurate C/N and ICR results using non-gated techniques -- and with the channel in service!
"I talked to the FCC and they said ......" This phrase along with "good engineering practices" gets stretched pretty thin in some cases.
Running proofs on scrambled channels. (with the scramblers in service!)
Color Tests
Common mistakes when running color tests. Lets review the rules (in case you haven't noticed, they're a little tricky), then look at how to avoid mistakes.
If you're using a demod that only has synchronous detection, your diff phase results may be meaningless! You really need both envelope and synchronous detectors (or be a techno-masochist) to get the right numbers.
